  1. monitoring May 08, 2026, 01:32 AM UTC

In response to a recently reported security incident at Instructure (Canvas) Aeries has made the decision to temporarily disable the Canvas integration for all Aeries customers effective immediately. The action is purely precautionary in response to the incident at Canvas and is being taken to protect our shared student and staff data while we monitor the situation closely. What this means for you: - The Canvas integration will be temporarily unavailable. - All data within Aeries remains secure and fully accessible. - No action is required on your part at this time. We are actively monitoring the situation and coordinating with Instructure. We will restore the integration as soon as we are confident it is safe to do so, and we will provide an update by 10:00 AM pacific on Friday, May 8th, 2026. We understand this causes disruption to your workflows and apologize for the inconvenience. If you have any questions or concerns, please submit a ticket on support.aeries.com or call us at 888.324.5363. Thank you for your understanding and continued trust in Aeries.

We are writing to follow up on yesterday’s important communications regarding the temporary suspension of your Canvas integration. While there is no evidence that Canvas API keys were compromised, we have taken the proactive step to generate new API keys for your Canvas integration. We have updated your Canvas Consumer ID and Secret Key. When you are ready, you can reconnect Canvas to Aeries by retrieving your new API key in the Aeries portal and updating your integration in the Canvas Portal. Their are support articles found on the email message sent to you that can assist with these steps. Reconnecting your Canvas integration is entirely at your discretion once you feel have received confirmation from Instructure that it is safe for your organization to proceed. If you have additional questions, you can submit a Support Ticket at support.aeries.com. Thank you for your patience and continued trust in Aeries. Sincerely, The Aeries Team
