Yellowdig Engage experienced degraded service and high response latency for a period of about 15 minutes between 11:40 to 11:55 EDT. After being alerted to the issue, the development team identified a large database query which caused memory usage to spike in one of the deployed servers. This memory spike triggered an event which restarted one of the services causing higher than normal response times. The team is now planning future steps to remediate the issue.
