If a Canada Post labour disruption does occur, the UPS Service Guarantee will be suspended for all services in Canada, and Same Day On-Call Pickup service for UPS Standard® will be suspended. Same Day On-Call Pickup will be available for all other services as well as for next or future-day requests.

In honor of former President, Jimmy Carter, USPS will observe a National Day of Observance on Thursday, January 9th. On this day, mail deliveries, retail services, and administrative office activity will be temporarily suspended. Commercial drop-offs will continue to be accepted and processed and limited package delivery will occur to prevent impacts. Regular operations will resume on Friday, January 10th. Effective Monday, January 6, 2025, USPS will resume full service to Canada and begin accepting mail and packages again. Starting Monday, January 6, 2025, you can create and print USPS labels destined for Canada using your Stamps account. Please note that due to the recent CUPW strike and accumulated backlog, shipments may experience delays. Effective Monday, January 6, 2025, GlobalPost has resumed full service to Canada, including P.O. Boxes and previously restricted postal codes, and is now accepting mail and packages again for these destinations.
