Please note that SimpleVoIP systems are fully functional and operating normally at this time. That said, Bandwidth.com has reported an outage. Details available at https://status.bandwidth.com/. Bandwidth.com is used as a backbone carrier by a huge portion of the telecom world in the US and powers a fraction of numbers belonging to SimpleVoIP DID services as well. They also power a lot of customers OFF our system, so while we may be up, calls with those users who use Bandwidth.com may fail also. Current reports indicate that affected customers may experience dead air or one-way audio, quality issues, or multiple simultaneous calls from the same caller. We are also receiving numerous reports of DTMF issues on Bandwidth numbers. DTMF allows phone systems to detect and dynamically respond to keypresses during an active call, so autoattendant menus may not register pressed keys when calls traverse the Bandwidth network. At this time all examples are on Bandwidth numbers. SimpleVoIP does not control any of this. We pick providers for things we can't control. We pick providers that we believe are good quality. Bandwidth.com always has been good quality. They're having a bad day today, though, and it's impacting us, and you, too. We trust their team is all over this and we'll be waiting it out, along with you, for resolution. Please note that we can NOT move your numbers to another provider for inbound - that's not a thing that can be done in VoIP or telecom in the US (phone numbers belong to one carrier only and the only way to change that is a port out, which takes days).

At this point, Bandwidth.com has declared the issue resolved and services stable on their side. We will keep a close eye on their status page and post another notice if that changes.
