Update timeline

  1. investigating Sep 29, 2021, 11:17 PM UTC

We are investigating reports of unregistered phones on our system. We will provide updates as soon as we have identified the cause and impact of this event.

  2. investigating Sep 29, 2021, 11:25 PM UTC

We are investigating an issue where traffic seems unable to reach our networks. This will impact phone registrations and all phone traffic (inbound and outbound calling). Initial indications are that our network itself is fine, but our DDoS protection service (CloudFlare) is not routing data to us. More info to follow.

  3. identified Sep 29, 2021, 11:34 PM UTC

CloudFlare has updated their status page to indicate that they are experiencing a wider outage. Their status page is available at https://www.cloudflarestatus.com/. We will continue to provide updates with any information we receive.

  4. monitoring Sep 29, 2021, 11:39 PM UTC

We are now seeing all 3 zones available, and phones are registering again. It may take several minutes for all phones to re-register successfully. Early test calls appear healthy. We will have to learn more about the nature of the issue before we can declare the issue resolved. If you are experiencing any ongoing issues, please let our support team know.

  5. resolved Sep 30, 2021, 05:07 AM UTC

At this time CloudFlare has confirmed that the outage on their network is resolved. We have removed the workarounds that our network team had put in place to get us back up and running as quickly as possible, and we're stable on our primary configuration.
