Some Categories Listed As Unclassified

We are currently experiencing an issue with our categorization service where some domains are being incorrectly labeled as “Unclassified” instead of their proper categories. This is primarily affecting Banking , Insurance , and a small number of other categories. For customers who block the “Unclassified” category , this may result in an unexpected increase in blocked requests related to these affected domains. Our team has identified the issue and is actively working on a fix, which should be deployed shortly. Temporary Workaround If you notice an increase in related blocks, we recommend temporarily disabling blocking for the “Unclassified” category until the fix is fully rolled out. We will provide additional updates as soon as the remediation is in place.

A fix has been deployed for all new lookups, and affected domains should now resolve with the correct categories. Previously cached domains still showing as “Unclassified” are expected to refresh within the next few minutes.

This incident has been resolved. All new lookups are now returning correct categories. Previously cached domains will continue to refresh across all data centers, and it may take up to 24 hours for 100% of those historical entries to display updated categories everywhere. Most accounts should already be seeing immediate improvements on all lookups.
