We have been advised by Microsoft that a number of the wide ranging issues experienced with Microsoft Teams have been resolved. However, we remain cautious and will continue to monitor closely over coming days to be confident of no further effects of today’s outages. Should you continue to encounter issues when logging onto the Teams service or you remain unable to upload/download files we would ask that you report these issues through your local support channels as you would normally do. This will enable us to monitor user experience and escalate to Microsoft where necessary.
- monitoring Jan 13, 2021, 06:11 PM UTC
Microsoft has advised that the reported Teams issues were resolved on Monday. We have continued to monitor services and have noted a small number of isolated incidents when interacting with files held in SharePoint and OneDrive. Investigations have shown these are aligned to peak activity periods during a significant change in user behaviour. Microsoft continues to closely monitor and tweak services as knowledge of the changing use of the system emerges. Further technical adjustments will be made as necessary over coming days to support the services during the remote learning period.

Microsoft have confirmed that the intermittent “join button” issue is now resolved. We would recommend any Teams app users update their app to the latest version. No further updates will be provided.
