Update timeline

  1. scheduled Sep 04, 2013, 07:42 PM UTC

PyPI will be briefly unavailable while we allocate additional RAM to it. This should improve PyPI performance and eliminate the recent spike in worker timeouts. Thanks to Fastly, our CDN partner, popular packages should remain available during the downtime in most regions, but the exact details are unpredictable as it depends on what is in the CDN cache at the moment.

  2. scheduled Sep 05, 2013, 06:00 PM UTC

Maintenance will begin as scheduled in 60 minutes.

  3. in progress Sep 05, 2013, 07:00 PM UTC

Scheduled maintenance is currently in progress. We will provide updates as necessary.

  4. completed Sep 05, 2013, 07:57 PM UTC

Upgrades have been completed. Thank you for your patience.
