Microsoft have identified an issue in their search platform which is affecting peoples ability to search across multiple O365 services (Outlook, Teams, Sharepoint) we're monitoring the situation and will post a follow up update once we receive more info. (incident dubbed: MO545600)

We're aware that users are still being affected by limited search capabilities on Microsoft 365 services - Latest from Microsoft 14:27: "Current status: We've developed a fix to address the impact to the search feature, which we're currently validating internally to ensure it is efficient before deploying. Additionally, we're exploring if an ECS configuration change may provide quicker relief."

More info: Impacted services include, but are not limited to: - Microsoft Teams - SharePoint Online - Outlook desktop client - Outlook on the Web Current status: We're on schedule with the internal code fix testing. In addition, we're continuing to evaluate the Enterprise Configuration Service (ECS) configuration change as remediation method. Scope of impact: Impact is specific to some users who are served through the affected infrastructure."

Microsoft have posted another update regarding this issue. "Current status: We're performing additional validations on the internal code fix to ensure that it has the intended effect once deployed across the affected environment. We're also exploring other avenues in parallel with the ECS change, as a more expedient means to improve the user experience." further updates can be found via Microsoft's 365 status account here: https://twitter.com/MSFT365Status We'll continue to hold this status until we get final word from Microsoft that a stable fix has been applied.

25/04/2023 23:33 - Final update from MS: "We identified and mitigated an issue within the search service that was preventing users from access to search functionality within Microsoft 365 platforms, and users should no longer see this issue."
