Root Cause: Cloud Infrastructure Access Disruption The disruption was caused by an infrastructure-level access issue within our cloud environment that temporarily impacted critical database services. This resulted in the databases becoming unavailable and caused dependent services, including the admin portal and hosted payment pages, to go offline. Once the underlying infrastructure access issue was resolved, database services were recovered and application services were restored across the environment. No customer data was lost, corrupted, or exposed as a result of the incident. The disruption was limited to customers using the legacy PeakCommerce platform; the AI version of PeakCommerce was unaffected. Corrective Actions Following the incident, we are strengthening infrastructure monitoring and escalation procedures, implementing additional safeguards around critical cloud services, and improving our recovery procedures to reduce both the likelihood and duration of similar disruptions.
