After a thorough review by Newton’s Dev Ops team, we have no indication that the integrity of your account information in Newton has been compromised. We have taken a number of precautions to protect ourselves and our customers from the Heartbleed Bug and will continue to monitor the situation closely. What Newton has done As of April 8th, we verified with our hosting provider, Amazon Web Services that they have patched and remediated the version of OpenSSL that was susceptible to the Heartbleed Bug. After we tested and verified our servers were using the up to date version of SSL, our Dev Ops team replaced all of our certificates. We are in the process of revoking the old certificates and we expect that to be completed shortly. Extra precautions that Users can take As with any internet based software application, we recommend changing your password periodically. While we have no reason to believe that Newton is at risk we recommend that users change their password now that we have replaced our certificates and revoked the old ones. If you still have questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us at [email protected]
