Update timeline

  1. identified Jul 20, 2022, 11:05 PM UTC

Due to an on-going Amazon issue in the EU and FE regions, the API Reporting is experiencing higher 429 throttling errors. For our users in EU and FE regions, there will be delays in retrieving advertising data for existing stores, and new advertising connections will take significantly longer than usual to complete the initial data sync. This issue has been acknowledged by Amazon, and their engineering team is currently working on resolving the issue. At this time we don't have an ETA.

  2. monitoring Jul 21, 2022, 06:31 AM UTC

Although the issue has not been officially marked as "Resolved" by Amazon, we have noticed a significant improvement in the API Reporting throttling errors in the last few hours, and throughput on our advertising data refresh pipeline has returned to normal. We will continue to monitor this issue as we work through the refresh backlog. Assuming no deterioration in API performance, we expect this to take another 18-24 hours.

  3. resolved Jul 21, 2022, 07:44 PM UTC

This incident has been resolved, and the advertising refresh backlog has been cleared.
