Update timeline
- investigating Feb 28, 2017, 06:17 PM UTC
We are aware of reports regarding slowness in the portal and degraded performance on the test taker. Our developers are looking into this and will provide an update as soon as possible.
- identified Feb 28, 2017, 07:04 PM UTC
We have identified the cause of the high error rates on the portal and the test taker as a failure in the East Coast Amazon Web Service (AWS) storage service know as "S3." The issue is not specific to LinkIt! and affects many other companies. AWS is continuing to work to remediate the availability issues and we will provide an update as soon as service is fully restored. We apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience.
- monitoring Feb 28, 2017, 09:03 PM UTC
Amazon Web Services (AWS) has made progress in resolving the elevated error rates and latencies with the S3 storage service. Access to the LinkIt! Portal and the Test Taker is now restored. Areas such as Test Design and Bubble Sheet uploading are still affected and expected to be resolved within the next hour. We will continue to monitor the situation until it has been completely resolved by AWS.
- resolved Mar 01, 2017, 01:34 AM UTC
Our cloud service provider Amazon Web Services (AWS) has resolved the elevated storage error rates and latencies. Status has returned to normal.
