Update timeline

  1. investigating Oct 29, 2025, 04:01 PM UTC

We are investigating Synthesis availability. We'll post an update with more information soon.

  2. investigating Oct 29, 2025, 04:09 PM UTC

We are continuing to investigate Synthesis being unavailable. There appears to be a large cloud hosting outage impacting Azure services which is in turn impacting Synthesis. We will update with more information as it is available.

  3. identified Oct 29, 2025, 04:32 PM UTC

Microsoft has confirmed that there is an issue impacting traffic to at least US and EU endpoints. We are continuing to evaluate the situation and will update as we have more information.

  4. identified Oct 29, 2025, 05:22 PM UTC

Microsoft has identified the issue and is performing mitigation. They have not communicated an expected time frame but we will update as soon as there is more information.

  5. identified Oct 29, 2025, 06:11 PM UTC

While Microsoft continues to work on the root issue we have implemented a workaround to restore some Synthesis functionality. Performance will be degraded and some Synthesis features will continue to experience the outage until the root issue is resolved. But at the moment you should be able to access your Synthesis environment in a limited fashion until the Azure platform issues are completely remediated.

  6. identified Oct 29, 2025, 07:33 PM UTC

Microsoft has given an update expecting a recovery within 4 hours (23:20 UTC / 7:20 PM ET / 4:20 PM PT). The current workaround will remain in place until all underlying services have been recovered, at which point we'll send out an update regarding the recovery. Thank you for your patience and we'll post an update with any new information as it becomes available.

  7. monitoring Oct 29, 2025, 11:35 PM UTC

Microsoft has moved the incident into the Monitoring phase and all Synthesis components are back online and working as normal. The previous workaround has been removed and we are back in our normal configuration and are not experiencing any lingering effects. We will continue monitoring through the evening and will update in the morning to ensure that the issue has been resolved.

  8. resolved Oct 30, 2025, 11:46 AM UTC

After monitoring overnight, Synthesis is fully available with no lingering effects. Thank you for your patience, and if you are still seeing any unexpected behavior please open a ticket with [email protected] and we'll chase it down.
