A component not belonging to the release was accidentally included in the deployment. This was the direct cause of the incident. ## Resolution The issue was resolved by manually removing the component that was included by mistake. ## Measures * Limit the permissions to execute specific commands in the production environment to the Operations team. * Improve the quality assurance of the contents of critical parts of the release. * Review of the release process to ensure the necessary competence in all steps, and clear segregation of duties during releases.
