- resolved Dec 12, 2025, 08:55 PM UTC
On December 10, 2025 between 18:10 UTC and 20:10 UTC Git Operations for GitHub Data Residency environments experienced periods of failed or delayed git requests to repository, raw, and archive data. On average, the error rate was 4% and peaked at 23% of total requests. This was due to an infrastructure configuration change. We mitigated the incident by updating our configuration and adding additional capacity to serve the traffic spikes. We are working to improve our change management in order to reduce our time to detection and mitigation of issues like this one in the future.
