Starting at approximately 6:00AM EST our web services encountered cache exhaustion which caused a large sub-set of incoming requests to fail with 500 errors. Root cause was identified by 6:30AM EST and actions began to be taken. By 6:45AM EST the web application was back up and serving requests as expected. Preventive measures are being implemented to prevent the same class of errors from occurring again in the future.
