Update timeline

  1. identified Mar 16, 2020, 12:58 AM UTC

Outbound call failures have been reported, this has been identified to be an upstream carrier routing issue which we are investigating with the carrier now.

  2. identified Mar 16, 2020, 01:08 AM UTC

The upstream carrier has confirmed intermittent outbound call issues to some destinations, its being investigated as top priority

  3. identified Mar 16, 2020, 01:56 AM UTC

Upstream carrier is still working on this fault as top priority, they have acknowledged this issue is with a specific larger upstream of theirs and inbound/outbound calls to their destinations are intermittently failing, we will provide updates as soon as we can.

  4. identified Mar 16, 2020, 04:21 AM UTC

The upstream carrier has diverted some high call per second entity's away from their infrastructure alleviating some of the outbound call issues. Work is still being performed on this.

  5. monitoring Mar 16, 2020, 05:17 AM UTC

A fix has been implemented and we are monitoring the results.

  6. resolved Mar 16, 2020, 05:20 AM UTC

The Upstream carrier has confirmed this network rework has resolved the outbound congestion issue and calls should now flow as normal.
