    At 5am ET, a caching server failed causing disruption in many edx.org services, including: login, pageload, exams, and proctoring for a subpopulation of users for ~2 hours. At 6:30am identified unanticipated surging traffic as the root cause for this and previous events and added additional hardware, which resolved the issue.
