Issue Creating Facebook Fundraisers from DonorDrive

   We are aware of an issue where some DonorDrive participants are unable to create new Facebook Fundraisers from the DonorDrive Fundraiser Portal. We are currently investigating and will post an update here as soon as we have one.

   Facebook has identified an issue with the Facebook Fundraisers API that is disrupting the creation of Facebook Fundraisers from DonorDrive. Facebook is currently working on a fix for the issue. We will provide an update here once we have an update from Facebook.

   We have been in contact with Facebook and have been assured that Facebook is working to resolve the issue with the Facebook Fundraisers API. Note that the issue is only affecting a subset of participants who attempt to create a Facebook Fundraiser. Some participants are able to successfully create a Facebook Fundraiser from DonorDrive. Donations made to existing Facebook Fundraisers are appearing in DonorDrive as expected. We will provide an update here once we have more news from Facebook.

   Facebook has let us know that they are making progress on a fix for the issue. They should have another update for us within 7-10 business days. Note that the issue is only affecting a subset of participants who attempt to create a Facebook Fundraiser. Some participants are able to successfully create a Facebook Fundraiser from DonorDrive. Donations made to existing Facebook Fundraisers are appearing in DonorDrive as expected. We will provide an update here once we have more news from Facebook.    Facebook continues to work to resolve the issue on their platform. We are awaiting status from the Facebook team and will provide another status update once we receive one. Note that the issue is only affecting a subset of participants who attempt to create a Facebook Fundraiser. Some participants are able to successfully create a Facebook Fundraiser from DonorDrive. Donations made to existing Facebook Fundraisers are appearing in DonorDrive as expected. Again, we will provide an update here once we have more news from Facebook.    The frequency of Facebook errors when participants create Facebook Fundraisers in DonorDrive has consistently fallen below the threshold where a degraded performance status is no longer merited. Facebook has let us know that they are still monitoring the issue. Note that all donations made to existing Facebook Fundraisers are appearing in DonorDrive as expected.
