Update timeline

  1. scheduled Nov 12, 2014, 10:00 AM UTC

Contractors working near Telehouse East (one of our London datacentres) have caused significant damage to a fibre junction box which contains backhaul fibre from Telehouse East to our Kent datacentre campus. At this time the fibres are performing as expected, however to rectify the damage and ensure long term stability a physical repair is required. During the maintenance work all connectivity will route via alternative fibre between London and Kent, ensuring no interruption to service, however the Kent datacentre campus should be deemed "at risk" due to the loss of redundancy. The following maintenance windows have been allocated for the works: WINDOW 1: Start: Monday 17th November 2014 20:00 End: Tuesday 18th November 2014 06:00 The network will be at-risk using alternate routes whilst the joint box is being replaced and live fibres re-spliced. WINDOW 2: Start: Tuesday 18th November 2014 20:00 End: Wednesday 19th November 2014 06:00 Network will be at-risk but operating as normal – non-live fibres to be re-spliced. No impact to services are expected however due to the loss of redundancy the network should be considered "at risk" during the above periods.
