Uber has confirmed a cybersecurity incident (https://twitter.com/Uber_Comms/status/1570584747071639552) which has been widely reported to be a data breach. Uber is yet to inform us or announce details of the incident, magnitude of the issue, and resolution. We advise customers who are using Uber and concerned about the ongoing nature of this incident to disable the carrier till a resolution is announced.

Uber just posted an update that the investigation is still in progress. They state that they have no evidence that the incident involved access to sensitive user data. You can track their status updates at https://www.uber.com/newsroom/security-update We will also continue to monitor.

As there hasn't been any update from Uber since Sept 16th 10:30am PT, and Uber has claimed the following here (https://www.uber.com/newsroom/security-update/), we're marking this incident as resolved. * No evidence that the incident involved access to sensitive user data (like trip history). * All of Uber services including Uber, Uber Eats, Uber Freight, and the Uber Driver app are operational. As we get more details from Uber, we will share via this channel.
