Between 10:28-11:41 UTC the 9th of July 2022, one of the instances responsible for processing of requests was down (i.e. unable to process most of the incoming requests). The instance was responsible for the dashboard and the old API (app.cryptolens.io). Requests calling the new endpoint (api.cryptolens.io, which is the default in latest versions of client SDKs) were not affected for the GetKey, Activate and Deactivate calls. Based on our analysis, all other requests (not including GetKey, Activate and Deactivate) were affected for a short time period of time towards the end of the time window. Based on the logs, we identified the issue to be a platform issue caused by the provider. We investigated this further the 10th of July and worked together with the provider to find the root cause and ensure this does not occur again. From our analysis, there was a planned maintenance in that time window which caused the downtime. Based on the conclusions and recommendations from the provider, we took the necessary steps to prevent this specific issue from occurring again.
