Customers in Central US are experiencing slower response times accessing packages and feeds. The impact is constrained to feeds which upstream to PowerShell Gallery. Customers that are impacted can mitigate the slow responses by removing the PowerShell Gallery upstream from their feed.

Users in East US and pipelines running on agents located in proximity to the region might see HTTP 429 responses for a small number of requests due to current traffic conditions in the region. This could manifest in the pipeline logs as "Too many requests". The underlying Azure infrastructure issue is being actively worked on. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

The root cause of this issue was memory exhaustion on the application servers. We collected a live memory dump during the incident and determined that the issue is triggered by a specific data pattern that exposes a product defect, resulting in excessive memory consumption. Our engineers have identified the underlying bug and are working on a fix to prevent this condition from occurring in the future.
